The Middle Way

"The beatings will continue until there is an improvement in the morale."

...  John Thomas and Anon.

Wondering if 'right meditation, right effort, right mindfulness' and the grasping for peace, feels like that quote?  If so, it's time to seek the Middle Way.  If so, I have the wrong view, a frozen view.

Grasping, spiritual materialism, the constant pursuit for intellectual understanding.... yep, this is basically the sense of 'the beatings will continue until there is an improvement in the morale,' and it is often the kind of effort I put into this practice...so .... lighten up?
