Tricycle: Awake in the World

Tricycle Daily Dharma March 24, 2012

The View From Above

Things simply happen—we do our rituals, we travel about, we bear children, live among them, and die. We can't change these facts, but if we cultivate awareness that everyone, everywhere has similar experiences of life and death, it can take the urgency out of our responses, opening a space for equanimity to arise.

Film Club: Griefwalker

There is a lively and insightful conversation happening now at the Tricycle Film Club! We're watching Griefwalker, a film about the relationship between death and a deep love of life. Both Stephen Jenkinson, the subject of the film, and Tim Wilson, the director, are participating in the discussion. "To my mind Griefwalker gathers itself around a central question, and then begins to wonder about it," Jenkinson comments. "What does it take to fall in love with being alive?" Let us know what you think! Films are available to Supporting and Sustaining Members of the Tricycle Community. Watch the film here.
