Lehmann: Guided meditation - w/ Affirmations

Hi and welcome to this magic morning meditation.

The goal of this practice is to help you have a magical day,

Full of presence,

Growth and love.

Start by sitting symmetrically and upright,

But without it being uncomfortable.

Close your eyes to start the journey within,

And close your mouth so that you're only breathing through your nose.

Our nostrils filter the air we breathe better than our mouths do,

And thus allow for slower,

More serene breathing.

Become entirely still.

You're completely motionless except for the air coming in and out of your nostrils.

Observe your breathing as if you were looking at something separate from you.

It occurs naturally and automatically,

Without you having to do anything.

Now notice how the air coming in is cooler than the air coming out of your nostrils.

If at any point during this meditation you're bothered by thoughts,

It's perfectly normal and it's part of the practice.

When you notice these thoughts,

You're completely in the state of being,

That you're not feeling the air coming in and out of your nose.

You're not feeling the air coming out of your nose.

You're not feeling the air coming out of your nose.

You're not feeling the air coming out of your nose.

It's part of the practice.

When you notice these thoughts,

Simply refocus your attention on the cold air coming in and the warm air coming out.

Without forcing anything,

Try to slow down your breathing so that the air comes in and out of your nostrils in smaller volumes.

The flow of air is becoming thinner and thinner.

You're breathing slower and slower.

We're now going to focus on nine affirmations to help you have a magical day.

Pay attention to the words while remaining focused on the cool air coming in and warmer air coming out.

1.

Life is a teacher and I am open to the lessons this day will bring.

2.

I am perfectly imperfect.

I seek only to do my best.

3.

I am always worthy of love.

4.

I embrace the unknown and go step by step in the right direction.

5.

I am responsible for my own emotions.

6.

When I judge others or myself,

Instead I try to comprehend.

7.

The quality of my experience depends on where I place my attention.

8.

I strengthen my attention by frequently focusing on my breathing.

9.

Every day,

By being curious and humble,

I become a better player at the game of life.

10.

Before finishing this meditation,

Observe your current mood as if you were inspecting your emotions from the outside looking in.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly come out of this meditation and start noticing the weight of your clothes on your body,

The surrounding sounds,

And of course all the colors around you.
