Han-Shan Te Ch'ing: I like this verse by Han-Shan a lot ...wondering what you make of the first two lines? Do they make use of standard Zen metaphors ...ie, the moon as the metaphor for unity, and water as purity? or is it the other way around? I love the last two lines...for me they herald the joy of being present.
A hundred thousand worlds are flowers in the sky
A single mind and body is moonlight on the water.
Once the cunning ends, and information stops,
At that moment, there is no place for thought.
