Here is a very nice summary of retreat opportunities near us, sent by Julie Vinar, from Still Waters Sangha in ...Stillwater.

There are two new sanghas in our area practicing in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh: one in Stillwater and another in River Falls.

Subject: Retreat Opportunities

Dear Friends,
 
I'd like you to know of several up-coming retreat opportunities.  The attached information describes the Snowflower retreat held near Madison at a beautiful site in the countryside.  I've gone several times and recommend it highly.  The retreat is conducted in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
 
Also Sharon Salzberg (from the vipassana tradition) and Cheri Maples (Cheri was ordained by Thay as a dharma teacher) are conducting a workshop "Fierce Compassion" in Madison on November 4-5.  Info at www.mindfulnessandjustice.org
 
Cheri also conducts a residential retreat January 27-29 in Madison.  I think info will appear in the website above.
 
Finally on April 21 Cheri will be leading a Day of Mindfulness in Minneapolis sponsore by Blooming Heart Sangha and Common Ground.

Hello Friends -- this is a reminder that October 21-23 retreat is coming up fast, and if you haven't registered for the Bethel Horizons retreat but intend to, you should send in your form soon.  The announcement, registration form and FAQ documents are attached in case my previous message is deeply buried.  This retreat is a great experience and we strongly encourage all to enjoy it.
