Barry Magid interview « Sweeping Zen – The Zen Buddhism Database

Barry Magid interview « Sweeping Zen – The Zen Buddhism Database: "SZ: In closing, what are some books you would recommend those interested in Zen read?

BM: I still recommend Joko’s books for starters. I like Uchiyama’s writing and his accounts of Kodo Sawaki. Dosho Port just wrote a nice book about his teacher Katagiri Roshi. But I recommend Jim Harrison and Wendell Berry as often as any Zen books."
